The Associated Independent Colleges (AIC) celebrated our annual ‘Ecumenical Service’ on Thursday at Villanova College. Whilst also signifying the commencement of the AIC
competition season, the Ecumenical Service more importantly allows the Association to celebrate the strong relationship and shared Christian values that unite our schools. Throughout the service, Colleges were able to share symbols of hope that enlighten each
of their communities.
After the Ecumenical Service, students from all 8 member colleges and AIC Guest College- Ambrose Treacy, participated in a student forum that included a presentation from Mr. Malcolm Watts- CEO of the Brisbane Bullets. Malcolm’s engaging presentation
highlighted that student’s journeys through life can take many different paths, with Malcolm outlining his own journey to now being the CEO of one of the biggest national sporting teams in Brisbane.
A warm thank you to Villanova College for hosting the event this year. Thank you to Father Saldie, the Villanova Musicians, Audio and Event staff who made
the event incredibly special.
