In line with government advice and the forecasted impact of Tropical Cyclone Alfred on south-east Queensland this week, the Associated Independent Colleges (AIC) Management Committee wishes to advise that all Round 5 fixtures for Australian Rules Football, Cricket and Volleyball scheduled for Friday 7th and Saturday 8th March are cancelled.
The decision to cancel all AIC fixtures for this weekend has been made to ensure the health and safety of all members of both the AIC and the wider south-east Queensland communities remains the priority.
The AIC Swimming Championships scheduled for Tuesday 11th March will currently go ahead as planned. A further review of this decision regarding the AIC Swimming Championship will occur on Monday 10th March after the full impact of Tropical Cyclone Alfred has been assessed and the recovery from this significant weather event has begun.
