This term includes the AIC Track and Field Championships (3rd & 4th October). These Championships are one of the largest events on the AIC calendar and will involve some of the best school-aged athletes in both Queensland and Australia.
The AIC will also host our annual ‘esports’ event at Villanova College on Saturday 19 October. ‘esports’ is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and the AIC event is an excellent introduction to the sport.
The annual AIC Touch Football Carnival will be held at St Laurence’s Runcorn playing fields, also on Saturday 19 October. This event continues to grow in numbers each year and the skill level on show is incredibly high.
The Marist College Ashgrove Pool will host the AIC Water Polo Carnival on Sunday 20 October. A number of Queensland and Australian Water Polo representatives have attended AIC schools, and this sport is incredibly popular.
AIC Schools will also compete throughout Term 4 in a variety of state sporting competitions. These include the finals of the AFLQ Schools Cup Competition, Queensland All Schools Touch, Basketball Queensland CBSQ Championships and Volleyball Queensland Schools Cup competitions.
Please check your own schools sport information for details regarding each sport.
