Marist takes the TNF double!

Congratulations to Marist College Ashgrove who took out both the Primary and Aggregate Track and Field titles for 2022. It was a very solid all-round effort from Marist who were so consistent throughout the two days of competition. St Peters once again finished runners up with Eddies and Padua showing improvement again, Padua taking out 4th overall – their best ever result in TNF.

We welcomed Ambrose Treacy College to their first AIC Track and Field carnival, we hoped they enjoyed the experience.

Iona led after Day 1 in the primary, with the top 3 places a tight contest. Padua came through strongly on Day 2 to secure third overall. Although not able to win a primary age group, Marist had too much depth for the other schools overall. Villanova won the Year 5’s while Iona took out the Year 6 aggregate.

Marist were 50 points ahead after Day 1 in the Aggregate, a lead they built on on Day 2. The top 4 places didn’t end up changing by the final event with St Peters, Eddies and Padua finishing 2nd – 4th respectively. Lauries showed improvement and took a top-half spot from Iona by only 1.5pt. There was only 26 points separating 5th – 8th.

Marist won the 12yrs, 13yrs and 16yrs. St Peters won the Opens and 14yrs and Iona took out the 15’s.
