The 2026 AIC Tennis season delivered another year of high-quality competition, with AIC member colleges displaying remarkable depth and talent across all divisions. The strength of the programs across the AIC were evident throughout the season, culminating in a number of outstanding achievements across the competition.

Showcasing their depth across their Tennis program St Peters had podium finishes in 10 out of 11 divisions contested to claim an incredible 12th consecutive AIC Aggregate Shield.

“Congratulations to the St Peters Tennis community on an exceptional season. Achieving their 12th consecutive AIC Aggregate title is a remarkable milestone, highlighting the strength of the program and the unwavering dedication of the students, coaches, and staff who contribute to its ongoing success.” Mr Daniel Fraser – St Peters Boys Sport Coordinator proudly stated.

A special mention to Marist College Ashgrove on finishing Runners up for the Aggregate Shield and St Patrick’s College on finishing third.

ALL CLASS FROM THE UNDFEATED PREMIERS

A dominant season culminated in an undefeated premiership campaign for the 2026 First IV Premiers. St Peters Lutheran College set the standard throughout the season, consistently delivering tennis of the highest quality and establishing themselves as the benchmark of the competition. St Peters were pushed all the way in Round 1 by eventual runners up St Patrick’s College winning the fixture 7-5 on sets.

“In 2026, the First IV Premiership was hard fought and a testament to the strength of the depth of the program. With 6 students contributing across all games and with students in Years 7-11 students, this highlights the talent across the age groups. Well done boys on a great achievement.” Mr Fraser said.

St Patrick’s College finished as Runners Up, with their only defeat coming against the eventual premiers, while Villanova College secured third place.

PREMIERSHIPS ACROSS THE ASSOCIATION

Five colleges claimed premiership honours in 2026, reflecting the depth of talent and highly competitive nature of AIC Tennis across all divisions.

Iona College: 10A

Marist College Ashgrove: 9B*, 10B

St Patrick’s College: 2^nd IV, 3^rd IV

St Peters Lutheran College: 1st IV, 9A, 8A, 7A, 7B

Villanova College: 8B, 9B*
*denotes shared premiership.

While no official results are recorded for our Primary competition, St Peters enjoyed a particularly strong season, finishing undefeated in 3 out of the 4 divisions (6A, 5A, 5B), showcasing the promising talent emerging through their tennis program. Padua College claimed an undefeated season in the 6B division.
