With only two more rounds of Term 1 sport to go it is clear to see the frontrunners. Lauries have dominated the inaugural Open AFL comp. They are also leading the Yr 7 comp along with Padua. Iona look like taking out the Year 8/9 comp. It’s been great to see the support for our AFL season this year, 2020 will be even better!

What a match of 1st XI cricket at Ashgrove on the weekend, the two leading teams went to head to head. Both Villa and Ashgrove have made some big scores to date and this was always going to be the highlight of the 1st XI season. Ashgrove was chasing a solid 208 when they went into bat. The Villa boys stood strong, bowled well and got Ash out for 148. Looks like Villa might have the stronghold on the Cricket Aggregate too so best of luck to all cricketers for the remaining two rounds.

Iona have once again been a dominant force overall in volleyball in 2019. Their 1st VI have only dropped 2 sets all season, not too dissimilar to Ashgrove who are also doing just as well. Iona v Ash Round 7 at Iona will be a fantastic volleyball game!
